Guy’s Night Out is our new program for boys who are ready for the next evolution in learning how to cultivate friendships and build their social executive functioning skills.
The program is limited to 6 students and involves a short learning component followed by fun trips into the community.
Concepts taught in Guy’s Night Out include:
-Managing initial social anxiety around similar-age peers
-How to initiate and make plans with peers
-Improving situational awareness (reading a room) to help navigate unstructured social situations
-Showing an interest in others and being flexible for the sake of others
-Communicating naturally with similar-age peers (AKA not sounding like you walked out of a social skills group)
In order to help facilitate meaningful connection between participants, electronic devices are not permitted at Guy’s Night Out.
